The sandstone overhang provides good shelter from rain, but the cave may be exposed to strong winds and driven rain.

The cave is nestled in the top end of a north-facing valley with very little to see, but a climb to the top of the hill behind will provide good views of Giant’s Castle and the central escarpment on a clear day.
